Location: Portland, Oregon to Atlanta, Goerga to Flight to Lima
Points of interest:
1. Woke about 3:14 AM to get to airport for my 6:00 AM flight.
2. I was told my bags were checked through to Cusco, but they ended out needing to be picked up in Lima, Peru.

Accommodations: Slept on airplane going to Lima Peru.

Points of interest:
1. My flight to Cusco was canceled, but they got me on a flight that left at almost the same time.
2. It was easy taking a taxi to the bus terminal.
3. I walked a little in Cusco waiting for my bus to depart.
4. I had a severe headache that night might have been altitude sickness.
5. Plugged in power strip and blew a hotel circuit breaker.

1. Cycled along Lake Titicaca to about 15 miles south of Puno.
2. Toured the floating islands near Puno.
3. Got stuck in rain without my rain gear.

1. Boarded the Bolivia Hop bus around 8:30 AM.
2. Took a boat to Isle Del Sol and hiked over island
3. At one point, we had to go across a river in a separate board from the bus.
4. Arrived in La Paz around 10:30 PM.

1. I went on the “Death Road” cycling tour.
2. I went on the Monkey tour (we were in a cage) and the Bear tour (The bear had very little between it and us).
3. Had trouble finding an ATM that worked.

1. Did self-guided tour of Palca Canyon.
2. Bypassed my ride back to La Paz/ out of the canyon, but finally found my guide.
3. Took Gondolas in La Paz, great transportation if you are in the route.
4. Caught an all-night bus to Uyuni.

Location: Bus from La Paz to Uyuni, Bolivia
Points of interest:
1. About an hour into the bus ride to Uyuni, the bus broke down and it took them 3 hours to get it going again.
2. When I was taking my gear to the hotel, the tour guide gave me a free ride to my hotel.
3. I ended up getting into my room very early and storing my gear before I went on the salt flats tour.
4. Salt tour started with a visit to an old train cemetery.
5. Toured salt flats – salt hotel, “Isle Incahuasi”, cool photos and wine with sunset.

1. I showed up at bus station for 5:00 PM bus at about 4:30 AM. I thought the bus left at 5:00 AM.
2. Spent day checking out sites on Salta and took gondola up hill.
Expenses: 7.77 USD and 3393 ARG Pesos – Bus, stored luggage, gondola, bathroom, souvenirs and food.
Accommodations: Slept on a Via Bariloche Bus going from Satla to Residencia, Argentinian

1. Cycled in lots of rain.
2. Road from Resistencia was very good with wide shoulder for about 30 miles, then no shoulder and a lot of traffic.
3. Took a bus to Formosa and stayed there for two night.

2. Forgot to locate the hotel I was staying at in Colonia, was able to figure it out on the bus which had free WIFI.
3. Was able to get my ferry ticket for the next day with my reservation number.
4. Cycled to the heavily armed, very small airport.
5. Cycle the waterfront toward Carmelo.
6. I remembered a lot of stuff from when I visited Colonia in 2015.

1. Cleared customs for both Uruguay and Argentina in the process of checking in for ferry.
2. Took the ferry to Argentina.
3. Cycled to Moron and could not find a hotel that would take me.
4. Then I decided to go in the airport direction.
5. I was headed to a dangerous part of town and a man rescued me and helped me find a hotel.
