Ted near highest bridge (Bloukrans River Bridge) in Africa. When it was built it was the highest bridge in the Southern Hemisphere.

Ted entered this bar near Port Shepstone one rainy night and asked the bar tender if their where any nearby hotels. A man in the bar overheard the conversation with the bar tender and gave Ted a place to stay at his fathers home.

Beach front houses with security fence. From the porch of one of these homes you had a great view of the beach through a barbed wire fence, but it was not clear to Ted how someone would get to the beach from one of these homes. Ted did not see a gate anywhere along the fence.

Most of the rural roads had several native Africans walking along the road. In many of these areas I was the only white person on the road.

This fire was seen off in the horizon (Probably in Mozambique) when I drove North in Kroger National Park. The fire was next to the road about 5 hours later (see photo below) when I drove south on the same road.

Lion skin at Skukuza campground. This lion was killed by a ranger with the knife seen in the middle of the skin. The Lion jumped on the rangers horse and drug the ranger away. The ranger played dead and when the chance occurred he stabbed the lion in the heart. Then he killed the lion by slicing his throat. The man was hurt and had to put his arm in a tourniquet and was rescued a couple of days after the attack.
